A visionary new work for by Artistic Director Edward Bilous, EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED will bring together young musicians and students with artists, dancers and designers from around the world in a global performance using innovative VR and design technology. The project will premiere in May 2018 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.
EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED tells a multi-layered story based on an imaginary meeting between world famous Albert Einstein and little known Caroline Hershel, an 18th century singer and composer credited with discovering many celestial objects by reading the sky like a musical score. Einstein, a violinist as well as physicist, described his theory of relativity as a product of his musical perception. The scientists realize their lives are linked across space and time through music. Their journey leads them to discover one of the greatest mysteries of the universe while performing in a stellar symphony.
